Wing Commander creator Chris Roberts has seen his new Kickstarter project Star Citizen cruise past its target goal of $500,000 26 days before its deadline.
Presently having secured $517,336 from over 11,000 backers, PC space flight game Star Citizen is currently enjoying much attention as something of a Kickstarter celebrity.
It was launched on Kickstarter last week, notably shortly after Roberts told Develop the most prominent crowdfunding platform was not for him.
The game has also raised over $1.3 million on its own website.
