Job ads suggests Cryptic Studios is looking for talent to bring its MMO engine to Sonyâ??s next-gen console

Star Trek Online heading to consoles?

Though developer Cryptic Studios has yet to confirm the host platform for its upcoming Federation-themed MMO Star Trek online, an online job ad suggests that both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be joining the PC release.

Kotaku spotted a job ad on Craigslist that reads: “We are currently looking for a full time PS3 Engine Programmer. Are you interested in a challenge?

“We have developed a flexible, cutting edge MMO platform to power games like Champions and Star Trek Online. It runs on PC and Xbox 360 – now we want to support PS3 too. Are you an expert PS3 coder? Do you enjoy squeezing every last drop of performance and spare memory out of the system?”

The ad invites applicants to head over to Cryptic’s website.
