Bubble Mania firm to publish third-party mobile games, starting with War of Dragons

Storm8 launches mobile publishing business

Mobile gaming firm Storm8 has branched out with the launch of its own third-party publishing division.

Storm8 Publishing will handle the marketing, distribution, monetisation and more for other studios and their mobile games. Publishing partners will also be able to draw on Storm8’s teams for further support to extend the lifecyle of their games.

The first title to be released by the new division is War of Dragons, a redesigned version of Mad Head Limited’s Tower of Saviors, which has already racked up more than 8m downloads worldwide. The game has been relaunched with its new title under Storm8’s FireMocha brand, with its design tweaked to better appeal to Western audiences.

War of Dragons has already reached the Top 25 in Apple’s Free Apps charts after its first week in Canada and Australia. It has recently been released in the UK and the U.S.

"Storm8 has mastered the art of developing and distribution enduring mobile games," said CEO Perry Tam. "We have amassed more than 50 million monthly active users who are always eager to try out new games. With Storm8 publishing, our goal is to select high quality games that our audience will enjoy."
