Swedish indie Fatshark hires new COO

Fatshark, an independent studio based in Stockholm, has appointed Sven Folkesson as its new COO.

Folkesson leaves the same position at Nuday Games, a studio he founded where he also severed as legal counsel.

His appointment as chief operating offices comes ahead of the studio’s upcoming launch Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, an action game that will be published for PC, PS4 and – via ID@Xbox – the Xbox One.

“I’ve been following the Fatshark team for some time, and am delighted to come on board as chief operating officer as the studio moves from third-party development to a self-publishing model,” said Folkesson.

“The upcoming launch is an exciting time, and the perfect opportunity to cement our reputation as an innovative, technologically advanced developer who is building new properties that will be loved by a new generation of players.”
