Jin Hasegawa to head internal team; has three games in the works

Tecmo names new Team Ninja leader

Japanese developer Tecmo has announced that Jin Hasegawa has been appointed as the head of its internal Team Ninja division.

Hasegawa’s appointment follows the much publicised departure of Tomonobu Itagaki in July, who left – and later sued – the company due to unpaid bonuses and disagreements with its president, Yoshimi Yasuda. Yasuda resigned earlier last month after a class action lawsuit was brought against the company on behalf of over 300 employees.

Team Ninja, which is responsible for the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series, is currently working on three titles, more details about which are set to be revealed at next month’s Tokyo Game Show.
