Former CEO and co-founder Dan Connors taking the reins

Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner stepping down

Kevin Bruner, Telltale Games’ CEO, is stepping down as CEO, with co-founder and former CEO Dan Connors stepping back into the top job.

Announcing the departure in an internal email, Bruner wrote: "Today I am writing to let you know that I’ll be stepping away from my position as CEO of Telltale. We’ve grown aggressively since Telltale’s inception, and now Telltale is bigger than I ever dreamed it would be. There are many possible futures for Telltale, and all of them are exciting and uniquely challenging. The time has come to pass the reins to someone that can better drive Telltale to the next level and realise all the potential that is here."

Telltale Games have grown rapidly in the last few years, coming off of the whirlwind success of The Walking Dead in 2012 to create a variety of licensed episodic narrative games.

Telltale’s head of communication’s Job Stauffer said in a statement: "Kevin has led Telltale over the past couple of years after he stepped into the CEO role for co-founder Dan Connors in 2015. With Kevin departing, Telltale is fortunate to have Dan here to step back seamlessly into the CEO role."

Bruner will remain on the board of directors during the handover period.
