Alex Nichiporchik levels accusation in blog post on tinyBuild site

TinyBuild CEO: Runorama is a “pure rip-off” of tinyBuild’s SpeedRunners

Alex Nichiporchik, CEO of indie developer and publisher tinyBuild, has written a blog post accusing two companies of releasing a copycat of tinyBuild’s hit title SpeedRunners, dubbed Runorama.

The two companies named in the blog post are N-Dream and iLogos. In the blog post, Nichiporchik said he reached out to iLogos over Runorama and the studio claimed that it was contracted by N-Dream for the project, which is now hosted on N-Dream’s Airconsole. Nichiporchik claims that Runorama is a "pure rip-off" of tinyBuild’s title.

"The contact job was to create a game based on a design document for their platform," Nichiporchik wrote. "Normally in these situations, the company giving the contract has all intellectual property rights, and the original developer remains in the shadows. When I ask why is the developer listed as iLogos, the CEO of iLogos told me they’re not aware of this, that this wasn’t discussed between the parties."

Nichiporchik goes on to say that he issued a copyright takedown demand to N-Dream, however N-Dream responded to say that Runorama was not a clone of SpeedRunners,a nd that Nichiporchik would need to deal with iLogos for any takedown details.

"Any respectable platform has a procedure for copyright claims. We demand that N-Dream takedown Runorama from their platform immediately." said Nichiporchik in the blog post, and it appears that since the tinyBuild blog post, it appears Runorama has indeed been pulled offline and can’t currently be played through Airconsole.
