Unity starts Affiliate Program

Unity has launched an Affiliate Program for the Unity Asset Store that allows users to earn a commission when sharing links to assets through social media or their website.

The Affiliate Program will allow affiliates to earn 5% of the value of sales, with those in the program generating a link for assets they like which they can then share. Those clicking on the link will have their purchasing activity tracked for 24 hours, and the affiliate with then get their cut after 90 days.

Anyone can sign up to be part of the program, but an obvious use would be indie developers who can show unity assets they used to create their games, or those doing tutorials on Youtube or other services. The sign up page and dashboard is available in over 25 languages, with affiliate links, widgets and banners all creatable through Unity’s Link Maker tool.

You can sign up for the program on Unity’s website now.
