Transformers Universe beta opens

The open beta for Jagex’s MOBA Transformers Universe will be launching shortly.

Fans will be able to enter the beta from tomorrow (Friday July 4th).

A variety of maps and game modes will be available to players, as well as customizable weapons and armour.

In order to take part, players should head to the game’s official website.

To celebrate this milestone, fans can earn double XP, view a 24-hour livestream of the game on Twitch this weekend. There is $75,000 in prizes up for grabs, too.

It might also be interesting to note that while announcing the title’s beta, Jagex referred to Transformers Universe as a MOBA once again, not a MOTA as previously announced.

We’re delighted to be opening our game to the public, a game we believe is worthy to be Jagex’s second massively multiplayer online game.” said Mark Gerhard, the firm’s CEO and CTO.

Our beta community has been having enormous fun playing, as have we, often being schooled by them! Everyone has been absolutely fantastic throughout the closed beta and provided us with great feedback, which we continue to implement into the game service through our weekly updates.”
