New event from game streaming firm heading to San Francisco's Moscone Center

TwitchCon debuts in September

Twitch has announced it will host the first annual TwitchCon this September in San Francisco, California.

Twitch.tv host Marcus Graham revealed the news on the video broadcasting firm’s weekly update show, stating the conference will take place September 25th and 26th at the Moscone center in San Francisco – where GDC is hosted each year.

"Twitch broadcasters have the most passionate fans, so we want to create an amazing experience where they can come together in person," Twitch CEO Emmett Shear said.

"TwitchCon will be an opportunity for the entire community – broadcasters, game developers, viewers, and us – to play and learn together."

Those who attend will be able to meet popular broadcasters, "learn from the community’s thought-leaders,” and experience live content broadcast directly from the convention center.

Twitch has launched a website about the event for those interested in learning more.
