Unity's annual conference to educate engine users in August

Unite 12 heads to Amsterdam

This August will see the return of the Unity-hosted Unite conference, which sets to bring together users of the engine and staff at the tool company.

The conference this year takes place in Amsterdam, Holland. It will also grant guests the opportunity to attend the Unity Awards, which recognise the most impressive titles built with the popular engine.

“For us, Unite is the most magical time of the year,” said David Helgason, CEO of Unity Technologies. “This is the best opportunity for the whole Unity team to interact with all of the developers that use the product we work so hard to create. We go there to learn as much as to teach: how is Unity being used, what do we need to improve, and what should we do more of.”

“Every time we choose a location for Unite, we want to meet more of our customers,” added Helgason on the matter of Unites latest choice of venue. “Unite has been in the US and Canada for the last couple of years so we figured a glorious return to Europe was about time. We chose Amsterdam because it’s a fun and well-connected city that also has a strong development community.”

The engine company is also set to host Unity Training Day, conceived for Flash developers and others new to Unity, which will take place before Unite on August 21st at DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam.
