Graphics API enables developers to get more out of iPad and iPhone hardware

Unity adding Metal API support

Unity is adding support for Apple’s new graphics API Metal to its game engine.

The tool is designed to offer developers a way of squeezing more power out of both the iPhone and iPad to add extra detail to their games.

Unity hopes to ship support for the API in version 5.0 of its engine, which it aims to release by the end of the year.

More details on Metal and Unity support can be found on the official website.
