Germany branch to focus on providing web-based tools for developers across all platforms including Linux

Unity confirms new Berlin studio

Unity has confirmed that it is opening a new studio in Berlin.

As recently uncovered by Develop, the Germany team, to be based in the Kreuzberg district, will focus on providing web-based tools for developers.

The studio’s lead developer Mark Val said the tools were necessary to allow developers to have a key insight into providing online experiences, and that they would work on all platforms including Linux.

Unity Berlin is currently looking to hire a team of creative online engineers to “deliver innovative ideas and workable solutions to meet the myriad of current and potential challenges for the developers making games for an online community”.

An official opening ceremony for the new branch will take place in November.

The Berlin studio joins an already large number of Unity offices around the world, which includes branches in the UK, US, Japan and China.
