Funding available for indies and students doing 'cool things' in popular engine

Unity launches Summer of Code

Unity Technologies has unveiled a new programme to fund indies and students to create ‘something cool’ with its Unity engine.

Called the Summer of Code after Google’s similar scheme, the company is looking for projects that offer reusable libraries and/or code that other users can benefit from, rather than game projects.

Proposals are being accepted until 11:59pm CET on Monday, July 13th. Those successful will get the option of receiving either $5,000 USD or $4,000 plus a Unity Pro licence.

More information can be found at the official programme website.
