Unity reports shows BRIC’s mobile domination

A new report by Unity Technologies reveals the countries with the highest number of mobile installs for the last three months – and a key economic group is leading the way.

Brazil, Russia, India and China – dubbed by economists as the BRIC countries, due to their similar stages of growth and development – accounted for 40.9 per cent of all mobile game installs throughout Q2 2016, forming four of the top five countries in this regard.

They also represent 42 per cent of Android installs, while China and Russia made up 35 per cent of iOS installs.

Unity has formed a full report with its Analytics team, which you can find at the firm’s website. The report is based on 238,000 Unity-based games, which generated 4.4bn installs over the previous quarter.
