Goal to raise $150,000 to produce full video

VIDEO: The Minecraft documentary

Markus Persson, the Swedish developer who spun industry heads last year with his breakthrough game Minecraft, is hoped to be the subject of a new feature-length documentary.

A twenty-minute preview can be found below, but the documentary itself isn’t complete.

2 Player Productions, which has created game industry-related documentaries in the past, is seeking crowdsouced funds to produce Minecraft: The Story of Mojang.

At the time of writing, $31,579 has been raised – showing a rapid acceleration in funding. Reports from hours ago put the figure at $17,000.

The goal is to raise $150,000 for a full feature.
