Warwick-based event to feature talks from Microsoft, Bioware and SCEE

Women in Games’ keynotes announced

Organisers for the Women in Games conference have announced the keynote speakers lined up for this year’s event.

Eileen Brown (Microsoft), Karen Clark (Bioware), Paulina Bozek (SCEE), Sara de Freitus (Serious Games) and Karen Brennan (Scratch, MIT) will all be helming keynote sessions at the conference, co-organised by Rare and Warwick University’s Computer Science department.

The event seeks to provide a forum for discussion of female involvement in games, from portrayals of females in gaming to game development and female gamers. The deadline for speaker submissions has also been extended to June 23rd, and proposals are especially encouraged for talks on the themes of ‘Dressing up programming’ and ‘Technology in schools’.
