Zynga opens survey to players on how to improve Scrabble imitator

Words With Friends monthly users plunges by 2m

The number of monthly average users for Words With Friends has plunged by nearly two million in the last 30 days, according to Appdata.

The title’s userbase, which has dropped to 18.3m from 20.2m, also saw its daily usage by one million.

The news follows the steep decline of players in Zynga’s recently acquired app Draw Something, which has seen its daily usage fall by five million in the last month.

As reported by Edge, to help combat drop the social games giant has released a customer survey asking what would make users return and make them play the game more often.

Options include if players could obtain hints if they were stuck, if the game had no advertisements, if there was more variety and what technical improvements could be made to the app.

Zynga has also asks how recently users have played rival games such as Scrabble and other popular apps including Angry Birds and Temple Run.
