‘No other vendor has the ability or knowledge to develop higher level behavioural AI’, CEO says

A new investment round for AI technology specialists Xaitment has generated $1.6 million for the company.

The company said it would use the funding to accelerate development of its high-level software packages xaitKnow and xaitThink.

XaitKnow will “provide characters with a knowledge base about their environment” whilst XaitThink will “establish rules-based behaviour modelling that helps characters react to their environment”.

CEO Mike Walsh said: “No other vendor has the ability or knowledge to develop higher level behavioural AI.”

He added that whilst the software may not be suitable for every game, he believes there is a good portion of the PC and console markets that could benefit from the tools that “ease the process of creating smarter digital characters”.

Investors Triangle and KfW provided the funding for the projects.
