New deadline of July 31st set as developer interest exceeds expectation

Zeemote global game dev contest extended

Zeemote has extended the deadline of its global game development competition to July 31st.

The competition, with which Develop is a partner, tasks mobile developers with creating a game that uses Zeemote’s ZS-1 Bluetooth analogue joystick. The company says that ‘many’ developers have signed up to download the SDK and participate in the competition, from geographically diverse regions.

“We’ve been extremely happy with the response to our developers contest with Asian, European and Latin American mobile game developers especially well represented,” said Glenn Kiladis, VP of marketing at Zeemote.

“With a prize fund totalling $10,000 and with the opportunity to have their games delivered to customers around the world via Zeemote’s leading handset manufacturer and operator partners, developers seem to be rising to the challenge,” he added.

More information can be found at the Zeemote Contest website.
