Disney Infinity server shutdown timetabled

The clock is ticking on the online services for the Disney Infinity series.

Having announced its abandonment of the franchise in May, Disney has now revealed a systematic timetable of server shutdowns that will see the series turned off on every format.

Polygon reports that the first of these changes has already occurred, with IAPs deactivated in the PC, iOS, Android and Amazon Fire versions of Disney Infinity 2.0.

On September 30th the first Disney Infinity will no longer be playable on PC, iOS, Android and Amazon Fire, and the game will be pulled from app stores. Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 will continue to playable on PC, although all online and community features will be deactivated.

On January 3rd 2017, IAPs will be pulled from the Windows 8 and 10 versions of the game. Then on March 3rd these versions, along with the Apple TV version, will cease to be playable. This is also the shut off date for all remaining online and community features.

At least the figures will still look nice.
