E3 2012: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive dated

The long-awaited follow-up to Valve’s popular multiplayer shooter will be released on August 21st.

The game is currently in development for PSN, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam. It will cost approximately $15 on all platforms.

Global Offensive will feature new maps and weapons, as well as updated version of classic Counter-Strike maps such as de_dust.

The game was announced in August last year. It is the fourth game in the series, which started with the original Counter-Strike in 1999.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be playable at both the Sony and Microsoft booths during E3 this week.
