Chen ‘Victoria’ Guanhong takes leave from LGD Gaming over chronic illness

Chen ‘Victoria’ Guanhong, a support player for top-tier Dota 2 team LGD Gaming, will be taking stepping away from the team due to chronic illness, it was revealed yesterday.

Guanhong was a key player for LGD Gaming during their recent top four placement at The International 7, and the loss will be keenly felt in one of the game’s top teams.

Guanhong’s replacement is Yao ‘357’ Yi, LGD’s tenured coach and former pro-player, best known his team in Dota Allstars with EHOME, although he also performed well with Team DK in Dota 2. However, he retired at 27 five years ago, making him one of, if not the, oldest athlete competing internationally.

In the meantime, Guanhong will be seeking treatment, with one Redditor offering an unverified translation of a Weibo post where the manager has claimed that Guanhong is suffering from acute pancreatitis. Thanks to Dot Esports for picking this one up.
