Cloud9 and Immortals make it into the ELEAGUE Major qualifier

Both Cloud9 and Immortals have made it to the qualifier for the ELEAGUE Major, making the competition incredibly stacked.

Cloud9 and Immortals managed to make it to the qualifier after winning the Americas Minor competition. Muffin Lightning failed to win a game at the Minor leaving TSM, Immortals and C9 to battle it out for two spots. Immortals booked their slot first by beating both teams, and then C9 defeated TSM to win the final slot.

This means that the full list of teams competing at the qualifier is: Cloud 9, Immortals, Tyloo, Renegades, Vega Squadron, Team Spirit, GODSENT, Hellraisers, Team Dignitas, FaZe Clan, Mousesports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Counter Logic Gaming, Team EnVyUs, OpTic Gaming, and G2 Esports.

This is easily the most stacked major qualifier we have ever seen. C9, Immortals, Dignitas, NiP and OpTic have all won won major tournaments over recent months, while the likes of FaZe, Mousesports, and G2 have all made it to finals. Only eight teams will make it through to the major itself, meaning some top teams will not be traveling to Atlanta.
