Echo Fox picks up 80% of Team EnVyUs’s Gears of War roster

Echo Fox, the esports organisation owned by retired NBA star Rick Fox, has swooped in for four fifths of Team EnVyUs’ Gears of War roster.

Jose ‘FraNChiS’ Mavo, Jamie ‘ToySxldier’ Rivera, Arody ‘Praized’ Dipre and Brian ‘Solurs’ Valenzuela are all leaving Team EnVyUs and joining Echo Fox, where they will play with Kyle Mason, the only member of Echo Fox’s roster that is not being released as part of the deal.

Ryan ‘RyanFoolz’ Summers will be joining his former teammates at Echo Fox as a head coach. Gears of War icon Noah ‘Prison’ Burkholz, who retired in December 2016, will be moving to a new role as the team’s head analyst.

Unfortunately, this means the rest of Echo Fox are now free agents, and it’s believed that Team EnVyUs will now step away from the scene, although this is just assumption and it’s possible they’ll put together a new roster in time for Season 2 of the Gears Pro Circuit.

Echo Fox had a disappointing season, with no wins across the seven events, with their highest placement at fourth. We’ll see if this turns their luck around as soon as the Gears of War Pro Circuit kicks off with a new season.
