ESL Pro League to be streamed on YouTube

ESL has confirmed rumours that the ESL Pro League Season 5 and 6 will be streamed exclusively on YouTube. 

The deal was rumoured earlier in the week, and has now been confirmed. This means that the english language stream of the tournament will not be available on Twitch at all. Other language broadcasts will still be available on other platforms. 

“YouTube is happy to announce our partnership with WESA to distribute the upcoming seasons of the ESL Pro League,” said Ryan Wyatt, Global Head of Gaming Content at YouTube. “Entering their 5th Season, ESL’s ability to continue to produce the highest quality content at the pinnacle level of competitive play is unrivaled. Professional Counter-Strike fans and viewership has been growing at such an explosive rate and we are excited to continue sharing this passion with our gaming viewers.”

When Season 6 of the Pro League rolls around later this year YouTube will offer a 1080p, 60fps stream and full DVR functionality. 

Season 5 of the Pro League starts on February 7th.
