EU LCS spring split finals to be held in Hamburg

Riot Games has announced that it will hold the finals of the EU LCS spring split in Hamburg, Germany.

The finals will head to The Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg on April 22nd and 23rd, with the third place match taking place on the first day and the grand final taking place on the second day.

The team that wins the final in Hamburg will secure a spot in the recently re worked Mid Season Invitational tournament, while the rest of the field will have to be content with championship points and a decent payday.

ESL has also announced that it will be heading to the same location later this year for ESL One Hamburg, a $250,000 Dota 2 competition. The stadium usually has space for around 12,000 fans, although large stage set ups and broadcasting equipment may reduce that slightly for these two eSports events.
