Europe finally gets a new Overwatch competition

After a major drought of European Overwatch tournaments finally a new one has been announced with a $15,000 prize pool. 

The Overwatch Pit Championship is actually two different events, one for Europe and one for North America. The two regions will each have a $15,000 prize pool and there will be no inter region play. 

Online group stages will decide who makes it to the final, meaning we finally get to see some regular European Overwatch action. 

In Europe Ninjas in Pyjamas, Bench Boys, Team Dignitas, Hammers Esports, LDLC, Misfits, Ex-Tornado ROX, eUnited, Movistar Riders, and Gamers Origins will all take part. The NA event will see Immortals, compLexity, FaZe, Luminosity Loyal, Luminosity Evil, Rise Nation, Team Liquid, NRG Esports, Renegades, and Rogue compete. Two teams will join each region through open qualifiers.
