LGD to replace Execration at the Boston Major

LGD Gaming will replace Execration at the upcoming Boston Major after the latter failed to secure visas in time.

Execration was directly invited to the event, giving them a good couple of months to get visas sorted, however it has not happened, with the team’s manager pinning the blame on Valve.

“Execration is applying for P1 visa. We already have our interview and our passport is in US embassy waiting for petition to be approved,” said team manager Arvin Risos on Facebook. “Petition is between valve and USCIS, once valve presented all the required documents, then USCIS will approved the petition and we will be given visa. No one is denied of their visa, its just valve did not finished the petition in time for reasons we dont know, so US embassy cannot grant us visa until all documents is presented by valve to USCIS. We will still get the Visa but not in time for groupstage. Sorry guys.”

LGD are currently flying out to Boston, after failing to qualify in the Chinese qualifier. They will take Execrations spot in the competition.

This of course is not the first visas issues the major has encountered, both Invictus Gaming Vitality and LGD Forever Young had players fail to get a visa, forcing both to play with stand ins.
