missharvey wins Canada’s Smartest Person TV show

Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey has been named Canada’s Smartest Person after winning a TV show competition testing contestants smarts.

missharvey made it to the final of the competition after winning week one of the show. In the final she faced off against a mechanic, a national rugby player, a hockey commissioner and a program director. Eventually she beat them all, being crowned as Canada’s smartest person and receiving $20,000 to give to a charity of her choice. She chose to give the money to Opération Enfant Soleil, a pediatric care foundation.

"We are very proud of Stephanie and extremely grateful that she has chosen our cause, that of sick children," said David Archambault, Opération Enfant Soleil’s senior director of partnerships when speaking to theScore eSports. "Donations raised have made it possible to carry out hundreds of projects each year in local organizations as well as major paediatric centres, which are equipped with cutting-edge technology and welcoming environments, and in regional hospitals, where children can be treated near their families."
