OpTic Crimsix wins a record fifth ESWC event

This past weekend OpTic Gaming came out on top at the ESWC Call of Duty World League event in Paris, making it the fifth time Crimsix has won the event.

OpTic steam rolled through the competition, not dropping a single match and making a perfect run through the winners bracket where they 3-0’d all of their opponents, including FaZe in the final.

The victory for the Green Wall not only gives them $40,000 and a ton of pro points, but also means that Ian "Crimsix" Porter has won an unbelievable five ESWC events. His first event was back on Black Ops 2 when he played with compLexity, and from then on he has won the event every year. He took the 2014 championship playing on CoD Ghosts with Evil Geniuses, with the next three events on Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare all coming while playing on OpTic Gaming.

That’s quite the impressive run, and further cements Crimsix as one of the best Call of Duty players of all time.

Another fun stat for Green Wall fans is that with the ESWC victory, Seth "Scump" Abner has now won a major event in each of the last seven Call of Duty titles. He is only 21.
