Nintendo Switch to launch March 3rd at £279.99

Nintendo announced in the early hours of this morning that the Nintendo Switch will hit shelves on March 3rd and will set you back £279.99.

The console was unveiled in more detail, with the announcement of key features such as a touch screen, motion tracking for the Joy Con controllers and NFC support for Amiibo. MCV has a roundup of all the key features.

Pre orders are now available at all major retailers, with the base pack giving you the console, the TV dock, two Joy Con controller and the Joy Con Grip which allows the controllers to function like a traditional gamepad.

Interestingly there wasn’t much in the way of eSports related news at the presentation, despite featuring it prominently in the initial reveal for the console.
