The Capcom Pro Tour 2017 kickoff event is also Lupe Fiasco’s album launch party

Capcom has announced that to kick off the Capcom Pro Tour in 2017 it will hold a massive party that will see top pros compete in show matches and the launch of Lupe Fiasco’s new album.

The party will take place on February 17th in San Francisco, and will see matches such as Ryan "Flipino Champ" Ramirez vs Daigo Umehara and Justin Wong vs Darryl "Snake Eyez" Lewis take place. On the game side of things the Capcom Cup final rematch between Du "NuckleDu" Dang and Ricki Ortiz will headline the show, although a performance from Fiasco may one up that a little. Murs, Dan the Automator, Del the Funkee Homosapien, DJ Qbert and Domino are all also set to perform at the event.

But this isn’t just a big eSports shin dig, the event will also coincide with the release of the next character for Street Fighter V. Further details are yet to be announced.

Fiasco is a long time Street Fighter fan and even managed to beat Daigo Umehara in a show match last year.
