GameStop closes Northern Ireland operations

Retailer GameStop has closed all three of its stores in Northern Ireland.

TheGamingLiberty reports that employees were only told of the decision on Sunday (Jan 22nd). The stores in question now have posters on the shutters directing customers to the website.

We are transferring all of our UK business on-line to www.gamestop.co.uk,” the retailer commented. We will honour all outstanding deposits and gift cards on www.gamestop.co.uk.”

GameStop’s vast Irish chain is understood to be unaffected.

MCV has contacted GameStop for confirmation.
