Halo Wars 2 and Forza Horizon 3 headline new Xbox One S bundles

Microsoft has announced two new Xbox One consoles for the UK: the Xbox One S Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition Bundle (1TB) and the Xbox One S Forza Horizon 3 Bundle. The latter comes in both 1TB and 500GB configurations.

The Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition Bundle launches on February 17th and is available for pre-order right now exclusively from GAME. It will cost 299, and includes an Xbox One S, Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition (normally priced at 64.99), a wireless controller and a 14-day trial membership of Xbox Live Gold.

Unlike the standard version of Halo Wars 2, the Ultimate Edition gives players four days of early access to the game starting on February 17th (the day the console comes out), the season pass and a re-master of the original Halo Wars, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.

Meanwhile, the Forza Horizon 3 bundle launches in March, with the 1TB model landing on the 2nd and the 500GB version releasing on the 16th. They will cost 299 and 249 respectively. Both bundles include an Xbox One S, Forza Horizon 3, a wireless controller and the same 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold. Forza Horizon 3 is also an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so Xbox One owners will also be able to play the game on a Windows 10 device at no extra charge.

Halo Wars 2 launches worldwide on Xbox One and Windows 10 devices on February 21st, but only the Windows 10 version will be receiving a physical release at retail.

THQ Nordic announced in January that it will be launching both a standard and ultimate edition of the game at retail, but only on as a Windows 10 DVD. That said, those who do buy the Windows 10 version will also gain automatic digital access to the Xbox One version at no extra cost, thanks to it being an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
