MICROSOFT: Crimson Dragon confirmed for Xbox One

Spiritual successor to Panzer Dragoon confirmed for new console, as original staff embrace next-gen

Developers Grounding and Land Ho are bringing their Panzer Dragoon spiritual successor Crimson Dragon to Xbox One.

The game, originally unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show, was first slated for a 2012 Xbox Live Arcade release on Xbox 360.

The Kinect controlled rail-shooter is being developed by some of the team that worked on the original Panzer Dragoon series, which enjoyed much success on Sega platforms.

Yukio Futatsugi served as director on the first three Panzer Dragoon games, and is returning for Crimson Dragon.

It is not yet know how the Xbox One version’s existence will impact the 360 version.

The demo at the Microsoft E3 press conference featured no sound; it is not clear if this was intentional.
