Mind Candy closes Brighton office

Moshi Monsters developer Mind Candy has closed its Brighton office.

Games Industry reports that it hasn’t been confirmed how many jobs have been lost as a result, although at the last known headcount 26 employees were based there. The suggestion is that employees will be offered the chance to move to the company’s London base.

"Mind Candy is currently in the process of bringing its whole team back together under one roof at its London HQ," the company said. "It has been great having a base in Brighton, but we feel the time is right to have all of our employees in the same space going forward."

Mind Candy cut 30 jobs in September of last year, which at the time saw its headcount reduce to around 100. As recently as 2012 it employed 200 people.

The company recently had a run in with the ASA over the way it promotes in-app Moshi Monsters payments to kids.
