Mizuguchi leaves Q Entertainment – report

The acclaimed creator of Rez, Sega Rally and Space Channel 5 has walked out” of Q Entertainment.

That’s according to CVG, which has word from an insider that Tetsuya Mizuguchi left the studio last year. It is also said that chief executive Shuji Utsumi has departed too amidst unrest relating to acquisition of Q Entertainment’s stock by Sanyo Chemical Industries.

Q Entertainment’s library includes Lumines, Child of Eden and Every Extend Extra. It also co-developed games including Ninety Nine Nights and Rez HD.

Mizuguchi’s personal gameography is even more sparkling, including the likes of Sega Rally, Space Channel 5 and Rez.
