E3 08: New Mario and Zelda titles confirmed for Wii

Though nothing has been said as of yet at Nintendo’s press conference (which at the time of writing is only 20 minutes in), Nintendo’s global president Satoru Iwata has confirmed that his Zelda and Mario teams are hard at work on new titles.

Addressing the E3 audience, he said: Our internal teams that make Mario and Zelda are both hard at work, and will bring new titles to Wii. Also, small teams and small budgets can now capture a global audience if given the right opportunity, such as with Wii Ware.”
