E3 2010: Child of Eden impresses

Anyone who has previously enjoyed Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s trippy console classic Rez will no doubt be excited by the first look at Q Entertainment’s next title – Child of Eden.

Compatible with both Move and Kinect the title takes the basic gameplay formula found in Rez and expands it with some distinctive graphics and fantastic ambient music described by publisher Ubisoft as a kaleidoscopic matrix of synchronized music and mind-blowing visuals”.

Though the game will work with PlayStation Move, playing with Microsoft’s Kinect is said to provide an enhanced gameplay experience as the player will become truly immersed in the game, with no physical barriers between him and the game world”.

However, motion control opponents will be able to play the game with a standard joypad.

Child of Eden is scheduled for a Q1 2011 release on Xbox 360 and PS3.
