Dragon Age 2 confirmed

Acclaimed RPG developer BioWare has finally issued official word on the in-development RPG sequel Dragon Age 2.

The game is a fully-fledged sequel featuring a brand new storyline that plays out over the course of ten years and is once again dependent on the in-game decisions of the player.

A new dynamic fighting system has been promised along with the studios’ trademark cinematic leanings, as well as a new graphics engine and graphical style.

"Last year’s launch of Dragon Age: Origins was one of the most successful in BioWare’s 15-year history and one of the most successful new IP launches in the 28 year history of EA,” senior VP of EA and co-founder of BioWare Dr. Ray Muzyka stated.

Dragon Age 2 will simultaneously deliver an epic story and set a new bar for intense action in the genre. We’re very excited to deliver this next bold evolution in the Dragon Age franchise to our fans."

The game’s official site can be viewed here.
