Zynga buys Conduit Labs

Zynga has announced it has acquired Conduit Labs, a Boston-based social games developer.

Conduit Labs, creator of Facebook games such as Music Pets and Super Dance, will be renamed Zynga Boston and will focus on developing new products. As a result, the aforementioned titles will be closed.

The company’s CEO Nabeel Hyatt will become the new head of Zynga Boston, while the rest of the Conduit Labs staff will be integrated into Zynga’s workforce.

Boston is an epicentre for technology and has a strong talent market, making it an ideal location for us to expand operations,” said Zynga’s senior vice president of games Mike Verdu.

As one of the most prominent social game companies in Boston, the Conduit team shares a similar culture and drive with Zynga and together we anticipate great successes from our new studio.”
