Daily Mail blames Nintendogs for attack

A woman who was looking after her granddaughter when the family dog attacked her and tore off her top lip has blamed DS game Nintendogs for the incident, The Daily Mail reports.

Apparently the dog, a bull mastiff named Saracen that has since been put to sleep, went berserk” when it heard barking coming from the game. It then attacked Megan Walker, tearing off her top lip.

I think this game should carry some kind of warning,” grandmother Jean Taylor told the paper.

People should be told not to play it when there are dogs in the room. I blame the game for what happened to Megan. If they hadn’t been playing it I don’t think the dog would have gone for her.”

Right at the bottom of the article the paper adds: "Ms Melville was unavailable for comment, but it is understood that she told police that Megan may have kicked Saracen and that is why he attacked her."

Only last week the ever games-friendly Daily Mail was asking whether games were as addictive as heroin.
