Transformers: Cybertron sequel confirmed

Activision and Hasbro are working on a sequel to Transformers: War for Cybertron.

The game was announced during Hasbro’s Investors Day and is currently due for release in 2012. It will follow on from the original High Moon Studios title that was released for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and DS this summer.

Hasbro also announced it plans to expand the Transformers MMO outside of Asia, and confirmed a video game adaptation of next year’s movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon is in development for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and 3DS.

The original War For Cybertron debuted at No.8 in the GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40, when it arrived earlier this year
