Sniper: Ghost Warrior sequel confirmed

A sequel to one of 2010’s surprise hits has been confirmed by Polish publisher City Interactive.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior arrived last summer and was a surprise inclusion in the UKIE GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top Ten, much to the delight of the game’s distributor Mastertronic.

Incidentally, it was the Huntingdon publisher’s first Xbox 360 release. Though it’s unlikely to be assuming publishing duties on the next title.

Eurogamer reports that the follow-up will be powered by CryTek’s CryEngine 3, which is the same tech used in EA’s upcoming shooter Crysis 2. It’s due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
