MICROSOFT: MW3 kicks off conference

Microsoft has kicked off its E3 conference with new in-game footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling took to the stage to play through an underwater mission in Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Before long attendees were treated to a full-scale war above water, as Bowling guided a boat among naval submarines with planes flying overhead and explosions going off left, right and centre.

Bowling was joined by Sledgehammer Games general manager Glen Schofield.

He said: For the past year Sledgehammer Games has been honoured to be working together with Infinity Ward to create Modern Warfare 3 – the biggest, most exciting and epic Call of Duty ever.

We’ve been pouring our hearts and souls into this game. We can’t wait for November 8th.”

The game will arrive on that date on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
