Nintendo, in a rare move, has announced it will be cutting the price on five of its first-party 3DS hits – including Mario, Donkey Kong, and Animal Crossing titles.
The company states that as of April 22nd of next week, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be offered for $30.
The company further confirmed the cuts apply to both the physical and digital versions of the games.
Animal Crossing and Donkey Kong currently retail at $35, while the three Mario titles go for $40 at the moment. The latter trio of games are the three best-selling titles on the 3DS platform – each selling more than 2m copies total.
