Nintendo is releasing a new NES

A baby version of the console that changed it all has been confirmed for America.

NoA has announced what it calls the NES Classic Edition. It’s out in the UK and US on November 11th and will include 30 games, which presumably will be installed on the machine.

The hardware is described as being near identical” to the original in technical terms, with the addition of HDMI. It will cost $60 (UK price TBC). One controller is included, with a second sold seperately.

The included games: Balloon Fight, Bubble Bobble, Castlevania, Castlevania II, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Double Dragon II, Dr Mario, Excitebike, Final Fantasy, Galaga, Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins, Gradius, Ice Climber, Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure, Mario Bros, Mega Man 2, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Pac-Man, Punch Out, StarTropics, Super C, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Tecmo Bowl, The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II.

UPDATE: A USB cable is included but an AC adapter, which is not included, is "required" to use the machine.

The Nintendo Classic Mini: NES Controller can also be used to play Virtual Console NES games on the Wii U or Wii when connected via a Wii Remote. Games will feature suspect point saving. A UK price has not been confirmed as Nintendo does not announce UK pricing.
