Now Microsoft is tipped for virtual reality push

It really does look as if VR is going to be the next interactive tech battleground.

The Wall Street Journal reports that, according to people familiar with the project”, Microsoft has joined the list of companies actively developing virtual reality hardware.

The tech has allegedly been in development in conjunction with a project known as Fortaleza – which is a name we’ve heard before in relation to augmented reality hardware.

Sony has been tipped to reveal its own VR project at GDC this week while the already popular Oculus Rift will also be making waves. Don’t forget, too, that Valve is still widely believed to be preparing its own VR raid, despite claims from the firm to the contrary.
