SK Gaming to drops fnx

UPDATE:

SK have confirmed the switch, and have confirmed that Ricardo “fox” Pacheco will act as a stand in for both the ECS finals and the upcoming ELEAGUE Major.

Original story:

Lincoln “fnx” Lau has left SK Gaming, and according to a report from Jarek “DeKay” Lewis on Slingshot eSports he will be replaced by Ricardo “fox” Pacheco.

Multiple sources close to the team told Slingshot that fnx would be leaving the team over the weekend, with the player eventually tweeting that he has left the team. Ricardo “fox” Pacheco is expected to be the replacement for the upcoming ECS Season 2 finals that starts in just a few days.

fnx has been on the SK squad for just over a year, winning two Majors and becoming the best team in the world. However since the team’s last major win, and an injury to fer, the squad has failed to win an event, and has looked weaker than usual. This is one of the reasons cited for the change, with players also mentioning personal differences as a big reason for their lack of performance.

According to the report fox will not necessarily be the full time replacement. After the ECS event the team will start looking for a more permanent replacement in time for the ELEAGUE Major.
